Playful Stories for Adventurous Minds
Where Are The Ducks?
Where Are the Ducks? was inspired by many mornings sitting in a duck blind, patiently waiting for ducks. A lot of us, children especially, get excited and sometimes impatient while waiting for something to occur. This is a beautifully illustrated children's book about being still, waiting expectantly, and seeing the good things in God's creation.
"Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!" Psalms 46:10
Dragon In The Dungeon
"Dragon In The Dungeon" is the story, told in verse style, of three imaginative and adventurous siblings who, pretending to be knights, discover and decide to attack a dragon in their dungeon. The lonely dragon, of course, turns out to be friendly. He then joins in the fun of the young "knights" becoming astronauts and riding a rocket to the moon and back. All before bedtime.
Is That A Deer?
"Is That A Deer?" is a playful story about a sister and brother waking early to walk to the deer blind. They expect to see deer, but they experience the antics of all the woodland critters they meet along the way, including possum, coyotes, turkeys, squirrels, rabbits, skunks, and wild pigs. They finally get to see a trophy buck! Alliteration and rhyming verse add interest to the adventure.
